When you travel do you stay with relatives or at a hotel or motel?

I love to travel. When I go to see relatives I usually stay with them if there is room. I went to see my aunt in Dorset. She lived in a very pretty cottage in a small village. It is surrounded by the most beautiful countryside. I slept in her spare room in comfortable bed that was warmed by an electric blanket.
One of the best times I have had at one of my relatives was when I visited my cousin in Australia. She emigrated out there because she married and Australian. She lived in a beautiful coastal town in Western Australia. She took me out to a craft centre where I bought a glass bird that still hangs in one of my windows. She took me out to see some really gorgeous and unspoilt sandy beaches.

When I visit my brother and his family in Texas I usually stay with them as they have a big home and plenty of room. When I travel with my parents, I usually stay at a timeshare resort that they own and can use anywhere. If I travel by myself, I will stay in a hotel or motel. I prefer having privacy but if I can save money, I will stay with people that I know.
