2nd update on my father in law

Hubby just got off of the phone with his mom. Dad is getting back to his normal ornery self. His blood sugar has dropped down to 217. But the docs still haven't found what is causing the internal infection yet. He is still being closely monitored, and will probably be in the hospital for the next several days. Hubby, daughter and I are going to visit him in a bit to cheer him up and hopefully keep him from badgering the nurses for a little while. LOL He keeps telling them he's fine and to let him go home. Thank God they are more stubborn than he is. Please keep praying everyone, cuz it's really doing the trick! Thank you all so much for your friendship and support. It means the world to me. Love and hugs to all.

I am glad he is doing much better. The hardest part will be convincing him that he needs to stay there until the docs figure this out. I wish you lots of luck with that one.

I'll need all the luck possible for that. LOL He can be pretty stubborn, but so far he's being good. LOL

They actually told me that he was being a good boy so far. I wanted to tell them to wait until he felt better. Hehehehe

He had so many wires and tubes in him that I couldn't get to him to give him our hug. But I told him he's loved and that he better be good for the nurses. LOL

Your father-in-law sounds like he is made from tough stock. I hope he continues to do well, and that the rest of the family can now sleep a little more peacefully. : )

Yeah, he's a pretty tough old bird. Maybe it's all of that stubbornness inside that's helping. Of course it's the stubbornness that got him in the hospital to begin with cuz he wouldn't go to the doc when he started feeling bad. I could strangle him sometimes! LOL

I don't blame him for wanting to come home..no one likes being in a hospital...My mom was a real naughty girl once when she was in the hospital...they actually had to put a monitor device on her wrist because she wanted to walk out!! Glad to hear how much he's improving and will keep sending my prayers to him

Thank God! Well it sounds good if he is being ornery. I will keep the prayers going for him. If you need someone to watch your 12 cats for awhile, keep looking...LOL...I can barely handle my one. Love to you and a big hug, cuz I'm sure you could use it!

Yes, I needed that big hug very much. Thank you hon. My cats actually did really good while we were visiting dad. We got yelled at when we got home though. LOL

That is funny, my one yells at me everytime I come home! That is the one time I'm glad I don't understand cat language, but I can tell she's not happy about being left alone...I can't imagine more than one acting like that...LOL.
