Have you ever had your Yahoo email account/username suspended?

About three years ago, Yahoo suspended my Yahoo username account for unexplained reasons. Unfortunately at the time I had stored some business information on a Yahoo email, and they refused to let me back in to retrieve the information. I'm pretty sure I did not violate their terms of service. But, they still took my Yahoo account away. Since then I've signed up again, but never been able to get my original information back from them.
Has this ever happened to anyone else? Why does Yahoo mysteriously revoke accounts for no reason?

Yes, I have had a yahoo account for 7 years and only recently it was suspended due to violation terms, which they couldnt explain when I contacted them...After 2 weeks it was reinstated..I really dont know what happened but it was annoying because I had job contacts in there that I couldnt retrieve.

yes! the reason is that I did not login for a year. That is why they suspend my account.

NO I have never had my yahoo account suspended. In fact, I have had my account on and off for about nine years now. There was a time when I didn’t log in for more than a year, but when I finally got the internet back up in my home and went in with my old user name and password, my account was still there.
I have heard others say that they have lost their yahoo account after not logging in for more than three months, but I honestly didn’t have that problem even after a year.
Have you tried contacting yahoo? It may be possible that someone actually hacked into your account.

i received several emails from yahoo admin telling that my account would be suspended. i wrote them back but it just bounced back. there were more follow up emails coming in but i just deleted them. i was checking my account daily but it was working fine. i was receiving emails as usual and my account was not suspended until now. i don't know if the emails really coming from yahoo admin or not.
