Dear Neighbor, I am sick and tired of your trash. I am sick and tired of you throwing your bottles of spirits and such in the road and in my yard. As a token of good faith, here is a bag of dirty diapers, MUDDY diapers for you to enjoy. I have no doubt you will enjoy our trash as much as we have enjoyed yours. Please discontinue leaving your trash and bottles on our road. You have been forewarned. We now know where you live and will call the police if this continues. Whatcha think? In all seriousness this is getting out of hand and I am ready to take action...any ideas?

That's a rather humourous way of handling the situation, but in my personal opinion ... puts you at the exact same level as your neighbor. You've heard the phrase "Two wrongs don't make a right" ... right? Really, what result will it have? Do you honestly think it will stop your neighbor from leaving his trash laying around .. or will he, out of spite, attempt to top your stunt? All you'll be doing is fueling a fire and starting a war. I assume you've asked him nicely not to. If that hasn't worked, then try legal channels. Almost every city in existence has 'courtesy' bylaws, and this would fall under at least one of them. Contact the city and ask what you can do to ensure his garbage is no longer your problem.

I haven't taken any action...yet. Just trying to get some input as to what to do. I really don't want to call the police and such. This neighbor apparently has a problem and is hiding it from his wife. Just fed up with the trash he leaves behind, and yes I have seen him do this....Hubby and I saw him do it again today, and hubby found out where he lives. We thought about just sending a certified letter to get the point across...I have no doubt he thinks he is being sneaky and no one has seen him. I'm sure he means no harm...and in all seriousness, no..I would not leave trash at his doorstep, but that doesn't mean I haven't thought about it! No two wrongs do not make a right, but a girl can dream, huh? Ok...off to celebrate the 4th with fireworks and good food....and with family and friends!

Well if I were you first I would collect up all the bottles (those are returnable for $), keep those. Then I would bag up the rest of it and if you know whose it is, return it to them. I bet you'de get alot of satisfaction from committing a drive-by-trashing and as far as I know it's not really a crime. Drive by thier house and throw it in their yard, and maybe add a little note that says "Thanks for loaning me this garbage of yours but I'm all done with it now so I'm giving it back A--hole." Haha. Or you could set a dirty diaper on fire on thier front step and ring the bell and run away. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Aww crap, I'm not a very good influence am I? LOL!
