yes, i agree that the fees are crazy, plus take into consideration that over half the stuff listed on ebay does not sell! while i do like ebay for looking for unusual gifts and jewellry (for myself of course lol!) i dont always find them the bargain that they are made out to be and must always insist that buyer beware!

Hi cher913 WOW! You hit it on the nail with that one!!! I find that lately nothing is selling good and when I go to buy something that I really want, their feed back is no good. I guess you take chances depending on how much money it cost. Sometimes I luck up and really get good deals, but then you have to think about the shipping charges, sometimes you can buy it in a store cheaper when you add the shipping and handling. Thanks for the response OH EVERYONE HAVE A NICE 4TH OF JULY AND BE SAFE TONIGHT!

I am guilty of this. I'm on ebay several times a day. I just started selling items about a week ago. I'm constantly thinking of things I want or need and I always run to my computer and search ebay for those items. I didnt know the selling fees went up. I'm new to selling so I thought it all stayed the same or something. How much lower were they???

Hy hotmetalfreeq, Well they went up several months ago, dont know the exact date until I look it up. Its ok if you dont go over board with the extras, which I seem to do all the time. Like the added pictures, bold, highlight etc. I still think in the long run they make out really good on their part. Thanks for writing me and maybe I can visit your listings on ebay one day.

I love Ebay, I buy and sell, I just can't stay away from it, I don't mind paying Ebay when I sell something that is fair but I get a little annoyed having to pay when I don't sell and if you have a few things it takes away from whatever small amount of money you may have made.

Hello lilaclady, Yes, I agree, when I sell something on ebay that is of high dollar I usually make out ok. But if its really low items I usually lose money. Ebay has really become outragous on their fees. I find the best way to list is to list in my ebay store, but then you have to promote most of the time and sometimes it cost money too. I just spend way too much time doing ebay stuff and not making enough money. Thank you for responding to my topic today.

Yes the fees are high but what makes me mad is listing fees when my stuff doesn't sell. But it is all a part of it.

I had an ebayer practically beg me to relist an item a couple of weeks ago..promised she "really really wanted it" and then when I relisted it (which cost me money) she never bid on it. I was furious!

Hi sweetdesign, Yes that gets to me too. When something doesnt sell you still have to pay the listing fees. I usually try not to relist unless I know I can change it around to make a sell. Thanks for writing in to me.

I live in Indonesia.I seldom to use online payment,I stil enjoy shoping by look first the goods and compare with others .I think it's not too bad if e-bay not available in indonesia, but if e-bay available in ndonesia it would be an advantage for online buyer.

Hey! I, too, can't get off ebay, though I only buy and do not sell, because paypal wouldn't send money o my country and all the cashiers checks and money orders take so much time. I love buying on ebay, because I can find one off, handmade clothing (I love wearing unique things!) for such nice prices... :)

I love to buy stuff of of ebay as well. You really have to look around to find a good deal though. I know a lot of stuff that is sold on there, you can find elsewhere, for much less, if you just take the time to look. In fact, I've been able to capitalize on this in the past. I could spend tons of money on ebay without hardly trying. I love to search for things, and I'm addicted to the mystery auctions. I even have some myself, now and then. I think they are a ton of fun. I sell on ebay too. I can't seem to stay away from it. I try, but just can't. Right now I sell organic hermit crab food and those tree air freshener things. I do think the fees are ridiculous, so I do sell elsewhere. I sell on ecrater.com and plunderhere.com. I haven't tried bidville yet, but would like to in the future. I would also like to sell on etsy.com. It's a site for people who handcraft their items.

Hi mishastar, I see that Im not the only one that is an ebay finatic. Im trying to do different things when I sell to make it a little affordable. At 1st I was listing small items and using all the plus items to promote, now I try to list items that I know will sell and usually dont go all out with the promoting, like border, etc. Thanks for writing in.
