It was the year 2001, the elite and the business sectors of the Philippines society supported by some top brass of the military and a throng of people coming from everywhere, successfully ousted the sitting prsident of the republic Mr. Joseph Ejercito Estrada. As the Vice-President, Mrs. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo assumed the vacated office of the President in Malacanang. Many years have passed, crisis after crisis, GMA remained holed up in the citadel of power. The year 2005 saw her cornered with the biggest controversy that ever hit the administration: the Hello Garci Tapes Scandal. but she still survived it all. Today, she is now embarking into the other half of her presidential term, she remained powerful. Even with the landslide victory of the opposition at the Senate, the lower congress is controlled comfortably by the administration. Please evaluate the prsidency of GMA. And her ability to be a great survivor.
