How many of you used to play jukeboxes in restaurants?

Do they even still have juke boxes in restaurants? We used to go to Pizza Hut years ago and I just loved to play the juke box. I must have spent a fortune in quarters playing one song after the other. And, I had unusual tastes for a kid because I grew up listening to what my Dad liked so I had a variety of musical interests. I loved Andy Williams, Barbra Streisand, Hank Williams, Sr., as well as all of the popular stuff of the early 70's.
They also had a juke box in the snack bar at boarding school and I spent a lot of my allowance on that, too.
So, are you or were you a juke box junkie like me?

There is actually an old Wurlitzer jukebox like the one that was on Happy Days in one of the local restaurants. It even has a lot of the 70s music in it. There used to be a store in the area that sold the old jukeboxes. And as I have a lot of old 45s (I feel so old saying that! LOL), I was planning on getting one from there, but they went out of business. Oh well, one of these days......

Oh, don't feel old for having 45's. I had a bunch as well before my storage unit got auctioned off. The way I see it is that we have the best of both worlds. We are young on the inside and we got the pleasure of enjoying things like the old soda fountains at Woolworth's and juke boxes, etc. and a slow paced childhood full of memories but now we also get to enjoy the conveniences of today. I wouldn't have wanted to grow up in this day and age. I'm so glad I was born when i was and have gotten to enjoy the best of all of it.

Wow,...what a trip memory lane that is....I think jukeboxes are becoming a dying breed, well unless maybe in bars?? It used to be every single restaurant had them..I remember as a kid going to this restaurant near me...Jahn's...it's still there believe it or not...and they had those small jukeboxes at each eating booth--no longer there...the jukeboxes...shame
