Is it me or does anyone else find it Disturbing that
the information that America is Being Fed is presented by ( quite literally )
Mickey Mouse ( America Broadcasting Co. ) or Bugs- Bunny ( Time Warner ) ????
I prefer to Dig a lot deeper than this and find out who's really at the epicenter of each storm! More importantly....Depending on whom you turn to for news it's always slanted !!! Right or left , so what's a girl to do ???? All I want is the truth!!! How hard can that be???? News is the news....it's also work if you really care about what's going on in your country !!! So get out there and seek the truth !!! ( It's waiting for you )

Cartoons are like any other creative outlet. They present an image of what made people laugh at the time they were released.
Today no one would understand Bugs Bunny in Black Face, or Fred Flintstone smoking, but in times past those were hits.
40 years from now people will look back on The Simpsons, Pinky & The Brain, Family Guy.. ect and wonder what we were laughing about.

I understand what you're saying....but I'm not sure I understand the connection between your examples you gave, and their Direct Political link.
On a side note....I have never just accepted Cartoons ( Maybe I think too much for Cartoons ) I never liked how Fred always yelled at little Barney. Even as it
was a direct spoof of the Honey-Mooners ('didn't like that show at all ) But aside from Fred's yelling....I loved the original Flintstones.
At any rate thank you ParaTed.
peace & One Love.

I just gave two examples of the political climate of the times that are different than today. Today you would never see a cartoon character in black face, or smoking.

The entertainment industry in general involved in politics disturbs me. these people REALLY need to shut up. Do they realize how idiotic they sound when they attempt to expound on politics? It scares me that a lot of people rely on people like them and Mtv for their political news. Has this country become so shallow and unthinking a heard of sheep that we can look no further than this for information?
