best places to see

I have been a frequent visitor to this place which is so close to my heart. The barren hills, different clours of mountains, flat and small people, more than 11000 ft altitude from sea level...make this place one of the best to visit in India. There is no comparison of beauty of nature when you are on outskirts of leh..long roads with beautifully carved edges..magnetic hills, sandhu river, breathless monestries..there is so much to enjoy there that makes this place as one of the top most tourist spots to see in India & the world.

We have been up to Rohtang Pass. Heard that Leh is close but could not make it as we were two women alone. Do tell how to get there and is it safe.

There are two routes to leh by road..one is thru Rohtang and other is thru Jammu..Srinagar..Kargil..Leh. Of course you can reach Leh by Air thru Delhi & Jammu also. The journey thru road is quite adveturous..but I hv always tarvelled by air. I am also planning to visit Leh ..Although It is safe but I'll recommend you to take company of male counterparts also since the journey is quite long and stressful
