The invention of the internet has affected the world greatly. It has brought many changes in almost every aspect of our society. All of a sudden, we are no longer so distant from one another, creating a truly global village.
Communication has changed as we get used to email, chatrooms and webcams. Even our dating habits have changed as people went looking for love and companionship online. The jobforce has also been affected, introducing new careers that involves telecommunting and virtual offices. Education has been improved to include online education and virtual classrooms.
On the other hand, it has also introduced new crimes like identity theft, online predators, and hatched numerous scams and hoaxes. Just like any kind of tool, it can be used for good or bad.
These are just a few examples of the many ways the internet has affected our lives. Furthermore as the net continues to evolve, more and more changes will occur.
