I believe cloth diapers are better. Better for baby, better for the environment. My mom used cloth diapers for my sister and I (we're twins). I think she used disposables for my brother. Could you imagine 3-year-old-twins running around... and having to change another baby's cloth diapers? My cousin used cloth on her 4 kids. I think she used disposables when they were out-and-about, though. I never really had the time or energy to deal with cloth diapers. I was working at the time. Now that I'm home, if I were to have another child (not going to happen!) I would use cloth diapers to save money.

Wow that's alot of laundry. I don't know that I'd have the energy to change cloth diapers either

For me, the extra 2 loads a week wasn't a big deal. Cloth diapers do seem overwhelming at first with the different choices, but it is actually easy.

I forgot to mention that I was diapering my youngest two at the same time.

I use disposable diapers because they are easier and save me time.

this is a common misconception. cloth is just as easy as disposables. you don't have to run to the store and make sure you have enough on hand, you don't have to go out in the cold or rain or late night because u "forgot the diapers" they go on just like a disposable diaper and they are just as easy to toss into a washing machine as the disposables are to toss into the garbage. yes you have to turn on the machine and add some soap, but don't u do laundry already anyways? and for the time, i don't know about you but cloth diapering MIGHT take me about...hhhmmmmm 2 minutes extra time per day. i say that's not much savings there, they do take a little time to turn on the washer, and to transfer to the dryer. you don't even have to fold them.

I think that cloth diapers are better especialy for the environment but disposables are better for the skin, because now they pull most of the wetness away for the baby so he/she is not always feeling wet.

actually cloth is better for the skin. there are fabrics used in cloth diapers that pull the moisture away from the babies skin and they don't use any chemical additives.

I've used both and I prefer cloth. Easy to use, better for baby's skin, better for the environment, and much cheaper overall. Since I like to sew I made my own diapers and covers and saved more money.
