How can 'Todyas Top Discussion' only have 1 response ??

I am unable to get the mylot mystery! How does they select a discussion as 'today's top discussion'? I just saw one discussion, which only had a single response, and it was featured as 'top discussion'? Logically, how can a discussion become top, if it has only been discussed once? Does mylot calculates the discussion by its importance, or its relvence, or by its word limit? Any comments?
