UK smoking ban !! have you quit?

Now that the Uk has its smoking ban in effect has this urges people to kick the habit!!!
I usually only smoke when out socialising in pubs or bars which is not often but with the smoking ban in place i should really be able to stop the odd cigarette.
Please feel free to add your comments on the smoking ban here and if and how it had effected you or those around you!

Smoking ban? So you can't smoke anywhere? Or is it just public places?
I wish the US would pass a smoking ban, but that won't happen for many many years. Something about trappling the rights of others to have the freedom to slowing kill themselves. However, they shouldn't have the right to slowly kill anyone who happens to be sitting near them in a restaurant, on the subway, etc...
I'd like to hear the details of this ban please.
