Tips for band-aid removal with no pain?

My cousin is always getting bumbs and scrapes. I put band-aid at his scraped leg today morning, then later I tried to remove it but it was really stuck to the skin and leg hairs. He was crying more when I was attempting to remove it. So, I don't know what to do. Any tips on that? Thanks!

Try rubbing some baby oil on it, and as it starts to lift, under it. Go slow. Baby oil dissolves adhesive.
