What if...

What if Jesus Christ was to come down RIGHT NOW and say... "You all have it wrong. None have understood my message or works. My message to you all was to learn to live in harmony, respect each other's views/beliefs and opinions. My commandments were a guide, a place for you all to start and live together as one. Allah, Budha, the bible, the koran... we're all one and the same just use different names to attract people of that culture. I'm going to give you all another 1000 years to get your acts together and if that doesn't work - I'm going to start over again and see if the new world population gets it right, because you all sure haven't gotten a freaking clue!!!" WHAT THE HECK WILL YOU DO THEN?

Other than it being a silly question, you are asking what would you do if Jesus came down and told you,"You have it all wrong. My commandments aren't commandments but merely good suggestions. That way you don't have to be accountable for them. Allah, Buddha, and all the like, even though they disagree with each other, they are all right. Yes, that's right, there is no absolute truth. I don't know what I was saying." There are so many things wrong with this question, it's impossible to answer. I think a better question would be if he came down and asked you why you didn't follow me, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. But of course, he knows why.

I dont see how its a silly question at all..Its actually a damn good one...There isnt "so many things wrong" with what she asked and obviously since others have answered, its NOT impossible to answer at all...

OK I was maybe a bit harsh and I understand a hypothetical question. If you going to ask a hypothetical question about Jesus but do so in a contradictory manner to the very nature of Jesus it doesn't make sense. It's like asking how would you react if Jesus came down and said something to expose himself as a liar. Jesus made exclusive claims as the only way and if you're asking how you would react to Jesus saying that Allah,Buddha, the Bible, and the koran are all the same when he specifically said he was the only way would be presupposing he is a liar. It doesn't make sense. If I were to answer the question I would have to assume he lied. I'm sorry about being harsh again but I simply can't answer the question.

Great topic! and I have to say that if J.C were to appear I can honestly say thats pretty much what it would boil down to...I really think ppl have it all wrong and I also think that for centuries the original words have been altered in order to please and work for the ppl in power during that time/era etc... What would I do though? Well you know me LOL I would have to skip and giggle while singing "i told you so I told you so!" LOL but thats just the kid in me ;-) Seriously though, i really believe that IF there is a supreme power such as the Christian god etc I think he/she is thoroughly disgusted with how man has brutally abused and misused his words and guidance... Buddha on the other hand isnt a god just so you know and Buddha wouldnt say anything like that simply because he put out the teachings and shared his wisdom but bottomline its up to us to find our way to enlightenment..Buddha didnt have commandments etc because he was simply a man it just so happens that he became an enlightened one..but he isnt worshiped or anythign of the sort.....Thats a thread all in itself though :-D

Scream as loud as I can to everyone within ear shot..."TOLD YOU SO!!!!" LOL, cause you hit it on the head for me. I don't think hating and being horrible to one another was part of Jesus's agenda.

If Jesus Christ were to actually appear at this time, the way the world is now, probably no one would pay him much attention. Even if he performed "miracles", people would think he's just another great magician or something. I have a feeling he'd say pretty much what you wrote he'd say. He'd more than likely be declared a heathen, once again. No one would believe he was actually the same Jesus Christ. The sincere souls would...the pure hearts...I suppose those are out there somewhere....I just don't know what it's going to take to wake us all up and see what's really going on. But I do emphasize with your feelings. I've felt the same as well.

Boy did you open a can of worms. Some people do not understand the meaning of a hypothetical question! Additionally I have attended Church, mosque and synagogue and heard Abraham and the Bible mentioned in ALL THREE! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to notice this: Indians say God took human form called Krishna and Americans say God took human form called Christ. There is an old saying "There are no atheists in the foxhole." And of course in opposite foxholes, everyone will pray to God using different memorized words-the words from whatever language was spoken where they were born. Mare73 don't give up. It's people like you who raise the vibration. Thanks for a great question! The 1000 years you speak of is predicted in the Bible, too.
