Communication Skills

I do not have good communication skills! I constantly fkind myself sitting alone with someone, and it is akward because neither of us is talking, and I don't know how to start a conversation without it feeling forced and unnatural. How can I learn better communication skills, and get better at talking with people. I want to be able to keep a conversation flowing, and be able to talk to people..Naturally!

I've had pretty good luck in communicating effectively, but the last job I had, presented me with a boss whom no one could communicate well with. Well, it didn't set well with me that there were so many misunderstandings. I mentioned it to my mother and she let me borrow a book of hers. I forget the name, but I'm going to ask her when she gets back from her vacation today. It is a rather thin book, but was tremendously helpful. A lot of college classes and motivational speakers use it.
