That is what I caught myself thinking when I went out to eat at Ponderous today. I setting where I could see the bar and this heavy set women went to the bar and the first thing I thought is, "is she bigger than me? Do I look that big?"
Then I felt bad for thinking such cruel thoughts. I can imagine what goes through people mind when they see me. Do you ever go through thinking like this in any area of your life?

I have done the ame thing and even ask my husband to compare my size with others. Losing the weight doesn't help either because then I look at people and wonder if that is how big I was.

Yes unfortunately. I do think those same thoughts occasionally. I attened a big festival though a week ago and I think it's been brought to our attention because people are actually getting bigger. And there are times when I have other thoughts like this. I think it's human nature.

It's unfortunate that our society, TV and movies, tells us that we must be thin to be attractive and desirable. I am on the opposite side of the coin. I have always been thin, no chest or hips. It used to really bother me because I did not look "womanly" but as I have aged it doesn't bother me so much. Big women, be proud of your curves! Some of us wish we had them. We should be more concerned about improving our inside and not so concerned about our external appearance.

Yeah, that is the same with me sometimes. I don't like to think anything bad about anyone but sometimes it does happen.

Afraid I'm not a good one to respond to this as I look at everyone one this way - I suffered from bulimia for years and years (before it had a name actually) even when I was 20 pounds under my recommended weight I looked at others and I felt 'fat'.
I tend to look at other writters in this way though - they write better than me, why would people read what I write, or 'I could have done that better' just depends on my day.

Yep - all comes down to lack of self-confidence.
By the way, did you get your article back? I emailed it yesterday. It was great and only made a few grammer or spelling changes. Message me if you didn't get it.
LOL - 52 years old and I'm actually going back to school, college, and taking some writing courses - I think getting some basics will give me a bit more encouragment and courage.

Yes I do!! I compare myself with everyone! I am terrible insecure so I am always thinking about how I look compared to other women!! I have always felt bigger than anyone else I would see...bad body issues =) I try not to notice so much because it will really get me down, not that I am really big or anything I just don't want to get obsessed with my weight.
