Take a look at this picture! It is in the desert where temperatures reach 120 degrees. It is a self-contained skiing resort in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. If you had the choice of entering a contest to win a week at this resort in the desert in the winter time...with a 1 in 50 chance of winning...all expenses paid or to enter a contest winning a chance to go to France in the summer...all expenses paid, but only a chance of 1 in 1,000 of winning...which would you choose and why? http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_dubai_ski_resort2.htm

Hi, I guess that if you cant take Mohommad to the mountain then bring the mountain to Mohommad. lol. All things being equal, I'd pick France but since the odds are so much better in Dubai I guess I'd go with that. If I want to go skiing, I can go during the winter and its only about an hours drive on real snow. The important thing is getting out of town for a while. I guess I cant see this as much of a tourist attraction myself. Take care, Terry

Oh definitely the one in Dubai, because I have never experienced snow let alone skying! And it is truly a Engineering Masterpiece, I saw the making of it on the Discovery channel, awesome!

I love it, too. I would have loved to see it put together. It is incredibl, right there in the desert. Some small-minded Americans are complaining about it because they say that is why the cost of the gas we get is so high. Don't Americans have all the architectural wonders they want?

I would go to France in the summer. I've seen enough snow in my lifetime. I would love to see that underwater luxury hotel in Dubai though. If the contest was for winning a stay there, I'd take it.
