Is Chef Ramsey playing favorites?

Have you ever noticed how Chef Ramsey favors his female contestants? Two weeks ago, he made his male contestants participate in a disgusting taste test of cows tongue and other animal parts. Some of the guys got so sick they threw up. And, I was wondering, if the ladies had failed the contest, would he have insisted that they do the same disgusting task. Personally, I don't think so. I think he's playing favorites and it's totally unfair. Did you see the "prize" for this weeks contest. It was a day of massage and beauty at a local spa. Do you really think that Chef Ramsey thought the male contestants would win the contest? No way! I think he figured the women would win again. And, what did he make the girls do as punishment? Certainly nothing so disgusting as eat pig guts. What do you think about this? Have you seen Chef Ramsey play favorites, too?

No, I don't think that he's playing favorites. The prize the guys won wasn't a day of beauty, it was a day of massage and relaxation therapies. Suitable for both sexes. The guys seemed to really enjoy the experience. As for the taste test... yes, I think whichever team performed the worst on the tasting challenge would have been required to eat the same thing. The punishments for losing the challenges are tied in with the challenge somehow. The team that lost the feeding the soldiers challenge had KP duty -- which is a standard military punishment, peeling potatoes and onions. The team that lost the dover sole challenge had to clean the dover sole for the night's service, etc. And in the case of the tripe, cow tongue, etc meal... the team that lost the tasting challenge had to taste some unpleasant fare. It's not favorites, it's the way the game works.

Are you kidding? Did you see the very amused look on Ramsey's face when he announced the prize that the guys would be enjoying. Obviously he hadn't expected to award the prize to them. That's just how I see it anyway. And, peeling potatos is not really punishment, unless you consider the fact that most moms do it daily. Then I guess that means moms are being punished too!

Peeling potatoes in and of itself isn't really punishment... but when you have a limited amount of time to peel... say... 100 lbs of potatoes? Yeah, that's punishment. He didn't look amused to me when he announced the prize, he looked like someone who was happy to be able to give someone something they'd earned. He's had that look on his face for EVERY prize that he's given for winning the challenges.

I think he is equally hard and equally easy on both males and females. I think if the ladies had lost that challenge they would have had to eat that crap too.

I don't think he's playing favorites. I mean how do you if he's the one even in charge of choosing the prizes. Like this week, he couldn't have played favorites because whoever won got to go on a photo shoot. If the guys would have won he would have been with them. And the potato thing, the losers had to peel (by hand) a hell of alot of potato. Enough to last the whole night. I mean I think that's punishment. I think the day at the spa was the BEST prize because (if you've ever been to a spa) afterwards you feel so relaxed and renewed. Well I do anyway. I think the guys enjoyed it.
