Do you talk to your plants? Are they your best friend?

Before I had my baby, I considered my cats to be my babies. I guess it was just my way of coping with loneliness. So, I suppose I could see why someone would think of their plants as their best friends. The human heart knows no boundaries when it comes to friendship. It doesn't see in shape or size.
So, how about it? Do you love your plants like real friends?

Hi there my dear Beauty Queen. reading the tittle of your topic made me think of Walter Mattheu's answer about talking to plants in "Grumpy Old Men":
"I have a cactus in my bathroom and we have nothing to say to each other".
Well i can't say i talk to my plants, well i don't really have any plants - in the sense that they are other my mother's or someone else's. The only plant that may be considered as being mine and my girlfriend's is pretty young (just like our love ^_^).
