Who talk much, men or women?

talking - Talking is an act of expression. People talk to communicate. Show their emotions to other people like their friends, colleagues, peers.

In our everyday lives talking is always there, for us to communicate. To show someone that we love or cared for them, we do the talking. When we're angry we talk. Talking is showing our different emotions, our needs and wants, our likes and dislikes. We share and exchange ideas by talking. But there is a connotation that women talk much more than men. But is this really true? Is there any proof that women talks a lot than men. What is your opinion about this, women do a lot of talking or men?

There was a report on this very subject in the news here in the US today. The results of a study were that they talk just about equally withing the margin of error of the sudy. This disproves what many have thought which was that women talk more than men.

I think that women talk more. They are more verbal than men. I am a woman and I don't really talk an awful lot. I just don't think it is necessary for me to talk a lot. If I have something really important to say, I will say and go on with my life. I just think that talking for the sake of talking is stupid.

I would say both are just the same because their are men who are also expressive and their are women that are shy by nature. So I reckon just equal talker.

Women ofcourse. There is no doubt about that.Men talk less among themselves and talk bit more to ladies. But a lady talks much more to another lady and talk usually to a man.So the definitely talks much more than men.

Hello there vonn1378! This is an interesting discussion, thank you for posting this! I have been curious to what others think about this topic. It seems pointless to ask my friends because they become too defensive and ruin the chances of giving an honest response…especially because they are “never wrong”,,,,,lol.. I believe that we are all equal, even when it comes down to just simply talking too much. I truthfully believe that it all depends on the personality of the person reguardless if they are a man or a woman. I will admit though that most of my friends who “talk too much” are women!....lol…I believe it is because my friends have live personalities and enjoy the attention they receive through their verbal expressions. I do know of some men who are also as expressive. They basically share the same “happy go lucky” personalities as my female friends. The friends that I have that don’t speak too much are those who “keep to themselves” and are somewhat shy. At times just asking them a question can seem like “pulling teeth”…lol…..I am not talking about men or women per say I am talking about both genders. In essence the point that I am trying to express is; that we are all different in many ways, but the one thing we do share in common as you mentioned in your post, is the ability to communicate, but how much you express your self through your words, I believe is everything to do with your personality and nothing to do with gender.
