pls give me tips in buying a digital camera

If you are a beginer and want a camera that will let you grow as a photographer. I found that the Canon Powershot A530 was an excellent beginning camera and the price is now around $125.00. It can be a full Auto camera or you can set pre set modes or you can go full manual and set the functions your self. It is a great starter camera with 5 megapixels and a 4X optical zoom. It is so easy to use that my 5 year old grand daughter has taken some pictures and has had people aske her for a copy. I use it when I travel and get great photos.

I like the Cannon Ixus range. It is small so very handy and mine uses SD card, which can be bought very cheap. Well, there are many non camera manufacturers out there selling digital cameras. I reckon it will be a good idea to buy from one that has a well known reputation as a camera manufacturer such as olympus, nikkon, etc.

i think the most important to consider is the number of megapixels. A 4MP is already a good one
