Retiring To Bed... .. Worry -ridden Or In Absolute Peace .

All of us go to sleep in the night . Have your given thought of your mental make-up when you are about to lie down and welcome sweet sleep? Sleep blesses quite suddenly those who are in peace and tranquil bent of mind . But to those who are worried about the day that dawns ..sleep would not embrace soon . Problems to be faced when you wake up the next day haunts you and sleep would not at all be peaceful.

No tranquilisers i need, my eyes will feel heavy and will show all from of tiredness... Now its 10.45 pm and these signs had already cropped upon me. When i retire to bed . I usually will sleep within 5 minutes.. In worst cases if there are so much problems in the office and in my family, it takes time for about a 20 to 30 minutes .. Then i will plunge into deep sleep....snoring...

I never have problem sleeping. When it is time to retire to bed, that is when my eyes give strong signal that I need to go to bed, I just plonk into bed and soon I am into deep sweet sleep. It is only when I have been too actively using my brain just hours (for example responding to discussions) before I retire that I have trouble falling asleep.

As we all know every persons that are alive has a problems of it's own even small or big still it is a problem. But for me as I go to sleep yes I do always think of my problems but not that too seriously. I never bothered to think of any solutions coz If I do I will not go on to sleep. I never worried of what will happened I'll just leave it behind and pray for the whats on my mind. I know time will come and the answer to all my prayers will be granted and for that I just sleep calm and peacefully.

When I was younger I rarely slept because I just layed in bed thinking all night long. I had to be put on prescription sleeping pills in order to get any amount of sleep. But lately I've started not getting in bed until I feel like I'm going to fall over. That way I'm too tired to think. So I just keep myself busy until I'm completely exhausted. It seems to be working so far.

well i must be somewhere in between because i do lie in bed and think quite a bit but its not really worrying id say more reflecting and planning, its a time for me to declutter my mind, the kids are in bed sleeping, all the chores are done for the day and i just lie there and think for awhile before i drift off to sleep

That is the curse of worry. It keeps you out of touch with the only time you truly have...and that is now. It is senseless to worry about tomorrow, as you are lying in bed, for it has not come. Instead, be present right now with yourself and choose thoughts of peace and sweet rest for the body and soul.

Most of the times i get sound sleep as i go to bed with happy mood. You have stated very correctly as whenever we have any worries it affects our sleep which i have faced rarely.I have tried hard to sleep but it was failure as my mind wont get the relaxation needed for the sleep and struggle with the problem. But one can expect to get a good sleep every day because every one will be having some problems or the other either thinking at the time of going to bed or the one which can worry them the other day.

Actually, I have recent experience with this issue because of the challenges I've faced lately. I found a great solution, though. I created a confession to speak over myself before going to bed made up of scriptural promises for both peace and sleep and ever since I started speaking it regularly, I've been sleeping well and waking up in peace. Before I started doing this, I would wake up shaking and having a hard time getting past it. The shaking would sometimes last all day but once I started praying the scriptures two or three times a day and they started getting in my spirit, I began to sleep soundly without nightmares and the shaking stopped. If anyone else is having problems and would like the scriptural confession I wrote, just let me know and I'll post it on myLot.

I am still young But mind you, I always have a lot of things in mind.. thinking about how to everything in a good manner and how to settle everything in the right place.. But then, when i go to sleep I will have a nice deep sleep when Im very tired, may it be tired of thinking or tired of doing some errands... I would only have trouble sleeping if I have unresolved problems by day..

I usually try to rid my worries before I go to bed. That's why I hate arguing with my husband right before I go to bed. However, I have learned a relaxation exercise that really helps with calming me down before bed. It's a breathing exercise and it really gives me a peaceful sleep all the way into the morning.. When I'm not stressed out, it's not necessary for me to do it..

to be able to face this struggle: 1. trust urself and HIM. 2. stay faithful to HIM. 3. love HIM 4. Lastly, dont forget 1 to 3

Yeah, that explains why it isn't easy for my husband to go to bed all the time. I worry too but it is easy for me to fall asleep when I go to bed.

Yes man. I long for the days when I used to retire into the bed as a tired man with no worrying thoughts in mind. And sleep just came sweetly. These days its not like that. There are worries of the future and the things not done properly in the day. If God wishes the old days will come back soon. How about you?

hmmm i try to put all my fears to rest before i take my rest, hehe. i pray, and lift up to God all my worries...it helps take anxiety away, knowing that i can sleep peacefully, worry-free, because everything is in God's hands
