Do you drink bottled water? If so,which brand do you prefer? We have brands like Bisleri,Aquafina,Kingfisher,H2O,etc, here in our city. Drinking Tap water may poison you as they put lot of chemicals to kill the germs and to purify it. How many Litres of it do you consume at your home?

I consume say 1 gallon of water together with my bf a week. Drinking tap water in Singapore is very safe. Some says its healthy. I am not sure but I have a friend who used to study some building stuffs and told me never to drink tap water because the water tanks is very dirty and horrible.

We have filters in our water pitchers so we don't buy much bottled water. When they were working on our water lines for a few days we had to have tons of it around. You never realize how much water you use until you turn on the tap and nothing comes out. We went five days without water and I hated it. Our local water isn't all that bad but I can't drink it from the tap. While they do put a lot of chemicals in it, they also add fluoride - a small trade off for all the nasty stuff I suppose.

I believe the bottling firms are encouraging the water boards to add more of nasty stenchy substances to help them make profit. Thanks .

I actually pour tap water into a jug and place in the refrigerator, but I do ofetn drink bottled water as well - mainly san pellegrino for the fizz and because it has a slightly salty taste.

Nice trick. I can also be pretty selfish and clever at times. What i do is i have few regular friends who often come to my place and i can't (really i can't.lol) afford bisleri to dozen people mosta time .So for them i pour tap water in those empty mineral-water-bottles and place them together with my real mineral one without their knowledge and i serve them raw water but not often.God i am so evil.Help!lol

I drink bottled water only while I travel. Otherwise we drink tap water in our home. I drink it directly from the tap tap. But other members of my home boil the tap water and drink it after cooling. Do you know that scientists in India have found that most of the bottle water in India contains several undesired chemicals and elements in excess quantity? Regular drinking of bottled water is much harmfull than tap water. Bottled water and soft drinks are toxic. Better avoid it. Thank you.

Lol.We won't be able to figure which one is more healthy in a country like ours. But if you live in a region where you get fresh spring water from your tap there isn't any need for bottled water. But most city water is directly from those polluted rivers of India. The Ganga,Yamuna you name it-there isn't any river left that is untouched for religious and industries dumbing. As of now we don't have any verifiable data of the pesticide content in our bottled water so its okay if you can't stand the stench of your city's tap water. But i do avoid fizzy drinks like coca cola and pepsi where they'd found pesticides over the international standard.

You are right. Almost all rvers in India are highly pollutted. The purification process is nowhere near international standards for water treatment. However in Thiruvananthapuram we get better quality water. Though from a river, it is not highly pollutted thanks to the fact that no major industries are there by the side of that river. Thank you for the comment.

Between myself and the friends that share a household with me we go through about 48 bottles of water a week between three of us. I agree with you about the chemicals that they put in tap water but now I have another concern. I have recently heard that there are dioxins used in the manufacturing of the plastics that are used to make the bottles for the bottled water. I have heard that these can leak into the bottled water and harm us. For those of you who do not know dioxins have been linked to a variety of symptoms and diseases.
