Hi - A Question for Readers.....

Hi! I was just wondering something. If you had the chance to subscribe to a service that would deliver short stories to your email at least once per week, and you could get anything from stories for children to adults, would you be interested? Would it give you a chance to read even though you have a busy schedule? Would it be convenient to get stories for your children this way? Also, how much would you be willing to pay for a service like this? Thanks in advance! Clowny :-)

The idea is a good one, and I bet many people would do it. But I would not. I don't like to read online. When I am reading for enjoyment, as in a short story or something for my child, I want to be holding something and sitting in a comfortable place.

Thanks for your feedback - I appreciate it a lot! Would you consider printing the story onto paper, then you could read it anywhere? :-)

I would consider it. Part of the consideration would be how much I am paying for the service. And I would probably only do it for stories for myself, as I want my son to learn the enjoyment of books.

As others have said, I prefer to hold a book in my hands when I am reading it. I don't want to use up ink to print it off and my email inbox is full enough. When I get an email from a website newsletter that I know is going to be long, it sits in my inbox for the longest time because I wait until I have the time and/or patience to read the whole thing.
I don't pay for any online services other than shopping.

Hi clowny, sorry I would not be interested. We read together here, and the computer would not be handy. I reckon I am a bit old fashion and I love to hold my books while reading them as well. I also love such a variety, it would be hard to just read what I was sent, since I pick on the mood I am in. More importantly I get my books from the library and yard sales. Money is tight in this here house, LOL.
