We are the last of the old camera families. We have not had a digital camera. They have always been too expensive. I got a flyer this week from The Source by Circuit City. They had advertised digital cameras for under $200 and a photo printer for $59.99. I thought that was a good deal so I wandered into the store today. They didn't know anything about the photo printer. What they did have was "Buy a Canon digital camera and get a printer for free". Yes, FREE! And this was not just a photo printer, this can be hooked up to my computer to print off documents as well. The camera was priced on the shelf for $239 but when she checked the computer she found that it was on sale (the flyer has it on sale for $239) for $179. I couldn't believe my luck! Along with the camera I purchased a memory card that holds 300 photos and a battery charger with 4 pre-charged batteries and a camera case. In total I spent $333 (Canadian prices)! I remember the days when digital cameras first came on the market and they were $500 and up. I was so thrilled to get these at these prices. The digital camera also does movie and audio. I know we don't have the money to spend but my mother gifted me some money from my father's inheritance. I used some to pay off bills and of course I had to treat myself to SOMETHING. I mean, DH doesn't have any money at all but does not hesitate to spend $60 on a golf club and go golfing every week. I was disappointed in not getting good pictures at my daughter's graduation so I thought the camera was a good thing to buy. Whoohooo!

WOW what a steal. Circuit City usually has good deals from time to time and we bought our digital camera and laptop from them recently too. I think its a great investment when you get a camera and a printer too! Look forward to seeing more pics posted then :)

It's going to take me awhile to figure out how to use all the options, not mention setting up a new printer for my computer. It was bad enough that my daughter and husband tore into the package and opened everything up when I was still unloading groceries. Geesh!
