I know I know, Smoking is bad especially for health. However, I heard from many people that their grandma or grandpa who smokes lives longer lives. Just like my grandma. I had a friend who has 2 grandma (Father side and Mother side). His grandma: 1. Is very healthy 2. Drinks and smoke The one who drinks and smoke is still living whereas the other one left the world when she was 68. Hmm...my grandma drinks and smoke too. But she has to do it moderately. Her doctor advised her not to completely quit because her body is used to it. Not sure how true this is but the doctor is her youngest brother.

I don't deny smoking is bad for health, but smoking is not only the issue that causing the entire problem. As it also deal with foods as well. If you don't smoke but you drink and eat unhealthy most of the time ,then you will more likely to get sick or serious diseases such as tumor or cancer. Emotional sick such as stress and depress are also one of the factor that lead to unhealthy.

No doubt smoking is bad. Anyhow I must agree with you that somepeople still lives longer and smokes a lot. My example: my grandfather he smoked during all his life, since he was a teen and he lived until 80. Maybe he could had lived more, but I think 80 is already good enough to reach. I don't know to other but for me this age is enough. He wasn't that healthy but he lived quite well.

Hahaha Interesting... so I'm right to a certain sense. I too smoke and drink. Sometimes I have my doubts but as far as I've heard, this is quite true. So no point to quit drinking or smoking then hehehe :P

I think that is pot luck lol. I think smoking and drinking are unhealthy habits and screw up the liver and kidneys big time lol. I don't believe smoking and drinking can have any benefit on the health at all and I think the longevity is also a genetic thing. Like the people on my mum's side are stronger genetically than my dad's side and I have taken from my dad's side and am a bit more frail.
