Do cats cause schizoprenia?

National Geographic suggested this in 2005. From various article I have read, the cause of this is in the cat feces and urine. I have seen ads that suggest you can teach your cat to use the potty. That would be a good idea. http://www.showcatsonline.com/x/do-cats-cause-schizophrenia.htm

I also read about it, but I think it all depends how hygienic the owner's environment is and how well the owner looks after their cat, that goes for any pet I suppose. And when you are finished playing with your pet always wash your hands. Cats are very intelligent animals and they are very easy to train, and even if their owners aren't that keen to teach them, there are hundreds of litter boxes that are very hygienic, but the responsibility still lies with the owner, and a healthy cat with a owner that is hygienically orientated, things should be fine, I think.

I would hope so, too. Unfortunately, the only pets we have are hermit crabs. My husband is not that crazy about pets.
