I have a problem with my little girl because since she turned 2 years old she hates fruits. I mean all kinds of fruits. I have attempted many times to give her just one kind of fruit but she just throw it up or vomit it. I don't know what's wrong. Can anyone share to me some suggestions? I would really appreciate it. thanks.

I hope you need not worry much on this, kids at this age group are into knowing new new tastes, let them have what they like provided we are giving nutrious stuffs. My daughter was the same at this age and she took a long long time to eat fruits. Now she is 7 she takes fruits on her choices. What i've observed throughout my experience is never force a kid with any sort of food items, particularly those if they vomit or they dislike. Try to be more creative in impressing them with new forms of food the same you can present in a different way, for example, a south dish called "Dosha" is normally round in shape, when my daughter refuses to eat what i do is i make it in the shapes of alphabet and i'll ask her which alphabet she wants if she says "s" i'll make it up that way. So just relax, try being more creative at cooking so that your daughter enjoys food and you get satisfied by being a good mom

I would like to know the same answer! I can't get my 11 month old to eat anything but bread! He loves bread...any kind of bread, it just has to be bread! Ha! He used to love his fruity baby food, but once he tasted bread, he would have nothing else. Same thing with his milk, he won't take anything but milk. He hates water and juice.

Have you tried mixing it in with different things like yoghurt or maybe freezing pieces of fruit on a stick to make it like an ice cream or something? I dont know if this will help but if you havent tried it, it may be worth a try. My daughter is 9 months old and wont eat fruit on its own but if I mix it in with yoghurt she will eat it until it comes out her ears!!!

Do you mean that she used to eat them then suddenly disliked them? Maybe she has grown tired of that one fruit and would like to try others? I've noticed with my child that she also develops certain tastes, likes and dislikes for food as she grows up. It doesn't mean that she won't eat a certain food at all, it's just that she doesn't want to have anything to do with them for say a week or a month. Just keep trying from time to time to feed her fruits. Or you can cut them up with cookie cutters (for hardier fruit like cantaloupes and melons) or you can slice them into shapes like triangles or squares to try to coax your child into eating them. Sometimes when I'm trying to encourage my child to eat something, instead of asking her if she wants to eat say a mango, I'd ask, "Do you want to eat a square?" or a "mango square?" Usually that piques her interest. Or you can try giving her juice and hope she develops a taste for fruits from there.
