So Bush has implimented free speech zones, google is putting cameras on street corners nationwide and you can log on to google maps to see a real time view of your street, Verichip is making microchips for people and the government is trying to issue RealId's to all Americans, and they say its all for safety!!! Just because Bush wont let Cindy Sheenan peacefully on the public property in Crawford Texas, doesn't stop me from thinking that Bush has gone power hungry. There are camera's on London's streets and that doesn't seem to be stopping terrorism there. I don't want to be microchipped like a puppy. Hilter branded the Jews during the holocaust, and to be honest I find that appalling. And real id? geez, i thought we had drivers licenses and social security cards for that.

1) Most of the examples you give here aren't government, but private companies. 2) Cindy Sheehan was never stopped from peacefully (or otherwise) demonstrating down in Crawford. She was also not stopped from demonstrating outside Nancy Pelosi's home. 3) I'll agree with you on RealIDs. There is no Constitutional basis for a national ID card of any kind.

She wasn't allowed on private property, right, but she wasn't stopped from demonstrating.

ParaTed - how do we know that these companies aren't secretly government funded? Or that government isn't involved somehow? There is much that we don't know that goes on with the government.

Nobody has even suggested to me that I get an ID chip. I've never heard it in any vote, it's never been brought up to do, it isn't happening right now, it isn't policy right now, it doesn't appear to be policy in the future, voters would have to approve it, and it certainly doesn't seem likely. So why are Alex Jones' listeners acting like its already happening and we're in "1984"? London has had CCTV for years and years and its stopped crime well...

I think the government is like that in every country. John Howard is just like that.

Unfortunately, most of the governments are leaning in the same direction..yeah.
