help plz

i want to study about the codes of the linux and want to modify them for me.... plz help me for that. i hav installed the ubuntu what is the first step for that?????

If u r really interested to learn about Linux you should try out http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/ Remember U must have a good knowledge about Linux to work with LFS. If u don't have a good knowledge u can use LFS to serve as a platform for ur research. U will get many guides & tools for learning Linux from the Net.

Slackware is considered the Linux distro, which if you can master, you will be able to deal with Linux in general but at least in my opinion Slackware is not for beginners and it does have a steep learning curve.

hmm frst of all go to redhat.com and c the help guide out there it will teach u everyting abt linux and its code ... once u master tht then there r many websites tht offer u different codes to implement and do use fedora instead of ubuntu

actually i dont recommend ubuntu if your a beginner. if you have time to download and burn the image iso file of CentOS Linux it will be a good start to learn linux. Wanna have a personal tutorial ? Im happy to help . Just reply to this message.
