Do you have stepping stone for your child?

I had always wanted a stepping stone for my son. This year we created one just before his first birthday. I'm thinking about doing another one next year too. The plan was to put this in our yard, but now that it's done I'm scared it will ge ruined if I put it in the yard. Have you created a stepping stone for your child before? If you have made a stepping stone of any kind, have you put it in your garden? Do they hold up to the weather?
