My husband and I just moved the kitty litter box to our balcony from our laundry room. The smell of cat pee is infesting the apartment from the laundry room as our male cat had done a couple booboos on the floor. I am pregnant and about to vomit from the stench. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the smell?? We have cleaned the floor like 100 times already.

I've only found two things that work. The first is a product called Urine Gone. It sounds cheesy and costs like $20 a bottle, but it actually does work and leaves a nice scent behind. The other is a much cheaper remedy that also works on skunk smell. Sprinkle the area with baking soda and then take a spray bottle of either hydrogen peroxide to the area. Be sure to test this in a discreet area first though since it will bleach some carpets and upholstery. Also, it may not work as well in an are that is up on a wall.

Pet stores carry a couple of enzyme based products that usually work really well "Nil-Odor" is one of them & I can't think of the name of the other. Also white vinegar & water will often work and is much cheaper. I'd try that first.

Licesol works wonders,or you can put baby powder of the spot and keep doing it until the powder is white again,it will turn yellow a couple of times because it is getting the urine from deep down, keep wipping it up until it is all white. Also you can spray freebreze in the room the air effects kind it worked for me good luck.

First of all, you're pregnant, so you should stay away from the litter box. There's something in there that's not good for pregnant women. I don't remember what it is exactly, and I'm not going to look it up and bore you with the details. If you can paint your floor, I recommend the brand of paint/sealer called kilz. I think that's how it's spelled. It works wonders for sealing in yucky smells.
