When my daughter was 6 she fell victim to a phedophile he is now serving 18 years in prison and for the last 12 years he has theatened and harassed both my daughter and myself. The last threat was on July 5th. My daughter now is so scared she can not sleep at night. Throughout the years we have gone to every agency we can think of and ask for help. They all look at us like what the big deal he is in prison grow up. Where should we go to pass new laws to protect victims? How do we put and end to this crazyness?

Write to your legislatures, governor, and senators in your state, and federal level. Let them know your strong feelings on getting laws passed that so that a person who commits an act like this can never see or be near that person again, especially if they are in jail. Disgusting people like this should not be allowed into society again, and I am very sorry for what your daughter has had to go through. I hope that your legislatures will work with you on bringing forth laws, as I'm sure the general public would be very supportive of something like this. If you are completely serious about this, I'd even visit local offices of your politicians and speak to them directly. Hope this helps! Good luck teddie64.

I hope you have come to the right site. I just joined up a few days ago, and am loving the community so far. I understand it is hard to think your voice is heard, but trust me it is. Every voice counts, and just by trying you should feel some fulfillment in knowing you have spoken out for what you believe in. Another piece of advise, I'd have your number changed, and block any kind of mailing that he is trying to send out from prison. Contact the prison he's in, let them know he is threatening you and let them know in what way. Maybe they can put a stop to him, that is assuming he is still serving time.
