I would love to go back to Alanon (my father is an alcoholic, and i had a child with an alcoholic, he is 17 and a half years older than me, we are not together anymore), but i have to wait until i move to Queensland, because there is no Alanon meeting that is close enough to my town. I am just wondering how it is going to help me, because the last 2 meetings i went to, they just told their stories and read passages from the book, i cried and listened, but if all the meetings are going to be like that, i don't know how it will help?

I wonder if there is any alternatives for you, maybe council support groups if they have anything in that line, they seem to have support groups for many things these days, I don't think standing up and telling your story suits everybody, I don't think I could do that if I was in that position, maybe when you move just the type of friends you mix with could help in being mothers groups or some other sort of club. Good luck yo you and your sweet little girl.
