Last night, while at work, I typed a LONG and painful letter. I worked on it on and off all night. I has saved it in the documents with the intention of finishing and printing it tonight. Well... it's gone! I don't know if someone snooped around and decided to be s poopie head and deleat it, or what. Our desktop is blank so I can't check the recycle bin. Is there ANY way of finding it with no access to the recycle bin or a FIND link?

Glad that you found your file in the end. Just for your info, you can access your directory using your browser. Instead of e.g. the myLot website link you see up there in the browser address bar, type in e.g. C drive i.e. c: then press "enter". You will find that you can actually navigate around the folders fine. There are some limitations regarding this method but it does give you access and let you search for things if you are stranded with all but a browser. Cheers. :D

I just tried that to see what would happen. It gave me a message that said "access to the resource c: has be disallowed". Disallowed?? What a word.

Geez, is this your personal computer? If this is a public computer in a LAN shop, that may happen. Otherwise if it is your own PC with you having full admin privileges, it seems to me something is really wrong. :(

No, I'm at work. There were two other people who worked the desk today since I left, so if either wanted to be poopie headed, they could have deleated it. But it seemes there are lots of blocks on these computers.
