Is there natural ways to cure Diarrhea? I don't much like to bring this as a topic but I hate taking medicine. I seem to get this condition when it's extremely hot..I don't know if it's because I drink lots of water to hydrate myself when it's really hot..or if the heat, itself, upsets my nerves. Any way what are some unmedicated ways to cure diarrhea?

Cheese has binding agents in it. Try the block cheese, especially swiss. Processed cheese like Velveeta, or the slices do not work in the same fashion.

This depends on your body. Swiss cheese will plug me up with only one slice! Try it and see if it will work for you. Remember, NOT the processed kind. Only the natural kind.

Diarrhea can be caused by different things. If I go very long without eating vegetables, say I eat mostly fast food or hamburgers for several days, and then eat salads and veggies for a couple of days...that will mess me up every time. The extra roughage in my system will give me diarrhea every time. I have to really watch to make sure I eat veggies regularly to keep this from happening. So...it depends on what is the cause. I know that if I get diarrhea any other time, I tend to simplify my diet...soups, scrambled eggs, nothing with a lot of fat or grease and I agree with one of your other posters...I will eat some cheese.

Thy to drink mint tea. Also eat a lot of fibers: rice, cereals, bananas. You have to keep yourself hydrated because Diarrhea is a vicious cycle. You believe that you should stop diking water, but the Diarrhea gets you dehydrated. The mint tea instead of water should help.

I have heard that fiber may make you run more ? Is that so. but I have heard about becoming dehydrated . One time before I actually had to go overnight to a hospital when I got dehydrated. I don't want it to ever get that bad.

I am sorry to hear that,my frind, your body isn't good. You will find a natural way to cure diarrhea,I think you can have a try this way. If your home have the hot-water bag,you can fill hot water in it,then place to lower your abdominal. This way can change your temperature of your intestinal tract, let body be better soon.

You can put aerosol solutions in your drinks. Natural way, eat fruits with high fibers: bananas, apples, etc. It is better take water with saline, to prevent dehydrations.

I've been told that drinking yoghurt can be a natural way to cure diarrhea. Lactobacilli help to get back to your normal intestinal flora.

When I was young, the doctor told me that diarrhoea during illness should be left to run it's course. It's your body's way of 'clearing out'. Of course, if you're otherwise fine, it's probably more to do with your diet. Do you drink a lot of fruit juice? OJ goes through many people like a dose of salts. It was actually recommeded for my baby daughter as a natural laxative when she was constipated. I would agree with the aboce suggestions for your diet going forward, eat a lot of pasta and bread, bananas and other cereals (museli etc) will also provide a good amount of fibre.

I am thinking the BRAT diet is helpful, I know it is supposed to be for upset stomach but I think it is also binding - well except for the applesauce I guess....so Banana, Rice and Toast. stay away from sugars and juicy fruits.

i know that this response is way too late already for you to apply, i do noticed the date when you posted this but i can't seem to resist not to budge in. a lot of people die because of this simple case but often times misconstrued. let's take this piece by piece so let's start with diarrhea itself and familiarized it specially of it's cause because it's the most important thing here. diarrhea, is an illness caused by a bacteria or a virus, the latter is usually the most common cause; food intolerance, reactions to medicines, intestinal disease and the list goes on. but there are also what you called "nervous diarrhea", sounds funny but it does exist. diarrhea sets in when you have eaten or drank contaminated foods and fluids and they called it food poisoning. so diarrhea is just an after effect of something that happened inside your gastrointestinal system and actually is your body's defense mechanism in getting rid of those toxins that is already inside your body. eliminating it is the best solutions of getting rid of all those bad causes. now, is there any co-relation between hot weather and diarrhea? i believe there is, they even called it "summer diarrhea". dysentery thrives in hot weather, it is caused by a bacteria called shigella. uet it still caused by ingestion of contaminated foods or drinks and can be transferred easily by person to person.
