In the past I thought its totally different.Hamburger is always considered as fast food and not healthy at all.But sandwich is the other way around. But today I searched some pictures of sandwich on internet. It turned out that they really look like the same.I am quite confused. So my dear friends, could you tell me the difference between them?

i think sandwich is anything that there is a meat or something inside two pieces of bread or a bread cut in half, like hamburger, so, i a hamburger is a sandwich and a sandwich cannot be a hamburger, got it!?, like in square, a square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not a square, just take it this way any bread with stuff inside especially meat inside is sandwich, ok!?, but if anything inside, hhow 'bout donuts - donuts which has no hole but has filling or strawberry puree or cream inside, oh gosh, it confuses me too, but for i will just take it that way, thanks!!^^, i will research it, !!^^

just take it this way, anything bread cut in half and veggies or meat or 'anything' stuff in is called a sandwich, if it has meat then it is called a hamburger!!^^, in short hamburger is under sandwich, so sandwich is generic or in general term, i love the two, but since i am changing my lifestyle from a meat and veggie eater or omnivore, to - - vegetarian or a herbivore, thanks for the comment!!^^

A hamburger consists of a bun split in half and a patty usually made of cooked ground meat of either chicken, beef, or turkey or a cooked piece of fish or chicken usually with a breaded topping. A sandwich uses two slices of bread and what is in it has not been broiled or fried first. A meat patty is larger so two slices of bread will not do. It is also silly to put a slice of cheese or deli meat in between two buns.

Well, the term "sandwich" just means two slices of bread, with a filling inside, so how healthy it is depends on your choice of filling. However, in America, they class a hamburger as a type of sandwich (which we don't in the UK). Hamburgers can be healthy if you use lean minced beef to make them, but fast-food hamburgers are usually very unhealthy, fattening and full of salt. So the simple answer is that like most things, how healthy it is, depends on how you choose to make your sandwich/burger, and if you buy it pre-made, it's probably going to be less healthy, and not as nice. I hope this helps!

A Hamburger is held together by a bun made from bread. Sandwich is also made by using a bread product. The only difference is the shape of bread used, whether or not it is whole wheat, rye, white, etc. Whether or not you use hamburger meat, which is unhealthy due to the fat content, but then again if you use lunchmeat,it too can be unhealthy to to the fat content and how it is prepared. I have used slices of bread, when I did not have a hamburger bun. It works too!Plus using other incredients to use for my "sandwich"
