Vegetarian dishes?

Hello there! Lately I've begun to eat more vegetarian meals. I'm not ready to become a full fledged vegetarian, but I would like to increase the veggie meals in my eating habits. The problem is most of the recipes I find have quorn in them, and I don't really like that. It feels like a substitute for meat, and I would rather have "true" vegetarian meals. Do you have any vegetarian recipes you would like to share?

What is quom. Is this what they call glutin? I had tried eating vegetarian meals and most of my friends who couldn't eat meat substitute their cooking with glutin. It tastes really good. Well, there are many online sites that feature vegetarian diet recipes. You can search for them at any search engines. We're not really allowed to share some recipes in mylot. =)

Quorn is "vegetarian meat" made out of mushroom protein. I didn't know that we aren't allowed to share recipes on MyLot. Why is that?

Oh ok. Some of the myLotters told me so. They do delete the posts. It's both the jokes and the recipes. I tried posting jokes, and they really did delete. They said it was written on the rules and regulations of myLot. I don't really know why. I mean there's no harm in jokes and recipes. But oh well, some are bypassed but most are erased.

A lot of clasic recipes with meat in them can be substituted for vegetarian. One of my favourites is vegie lasagne. Just make it the same way as you would normal lasagne but instead of the mince mixture, make a vegetable mixture which is steamed vegetables (any you want-cauliflower, broccoli, carrot, peas, capsicum, corn, onion, garlic, zucchini etc). Mix all the par-cooked vegetables up with a tomato sauce, which can just be a bottle of tomato pasato (pasta sauce)and some grated cheese and layer i t alternately with pasta sheets and white sauce. Top with more grated cheese and you have a beautiful healthy lasagne.

Thank you! I've tried to make vegetarian lasagna before, but it didn't turn out too well. With your help I'm sure it will go a lot better!

I have one recipes. Stir fried green bean/carrot/celery (totally about 500 gram) with 10 artificial crabsticks. 1)Prepare the green bean or carrot or celery (you can cook one of them or cook them all) and crabsticks 2)Prepare some garlic mince (chop garlic into small pieces) Put some vegetable oil into the saucepan, and then put two served spoon of garlic mince. When it turns into golden colour, put the beans or mix vegetables and crabsticks into the pan. After stir fried for 3 minutes, put three-served spoon of water and one teaspoon of vegetable powder. Carry on stirring a bit and it can be served. If you want, you can put a few drops of soy sauces. Have a try!
