What are some good mystery or suspense novels you would recommend?

I have recently started reading again im my spare time and was wondering what are some good suspense or horror novels that would come highly recommended. I love Stephen King and Dean Koontz but if there are some other authors that you would recommend I would love to get the names of them. I am not into romance novels though but I do love a good murder mystery.
So if anyone has any suggestions please let me know?

In addition to Stephen King and the assorted Dean Koontz novels I like, I've enjoyed stuff by:
Patricia Cornwell (Scarpetta series)
James Patterson
John Sanford
Mary Higgins Clark
Iris Johansen
Jonathan Kellerman
Most of those are mystery/thriller/suspense type books.
