friendship and lovers

I need some ideals of what to do,I have this male friend and I have feelings for and I do not know rather or not if I should tell him that since we have met last year and have gotton a lot closer and my feeling for him have gotton a lot deeper you see he has cancer but I do not want him to think that I want to be with him because of the cancer, I want to there for him because of my feelings when he goes to visit his mama and family members I miss him so much I feel so lonely with him being gone .We have never kissed or even held hands. He calls me when he is gone and lets me know how things are going.What should I do .Thanks in advance

I would tell him that you like him as a friend and you have fallen in love with him.Tell him even if he doesn't feel the same that you will still be there. And that you are telling him this now because you can't keep it from him not because of the cancer.I know this will be hard but who knows, he may feel the same.and even if he doesn't he should know how you feel.I hope everything goes well. you shoul tell him what your feeling to him it is improtant
to do it.. and then when he respond anything accept all the respond
with open heart and try to explain everything that you really3 love him..

you seem to really want him... more so, love him. i am not the kind of woman who want to make the first move. i always find it unncessary. maybe because i am someone from the philippines and per tradition, women should wait for the men to say their feelings first. but i guess you do have reasons to tell him about you feel towards him. you owe it to yourself and you might feel a lot better atleast letting him know that you want him in your life... anne

I am some what shy but I do want to let him know and I was watching "My Best Friend's Wedding " last night and I feel as though I am like Julia Roberts and am afraid of losing him Thanks foor responding

Maybe you should tell him how you feel, the same way you have stated in this post. How will he ever know you have feelings for him if you don't come out and tell him? Just make it plain that his disease has nothing to do with how you feel. He could be the one you are waiting for and it would be a shame for you not to at least make your feelings known. He may have similar feelings for you, but if you don't talk to him about it, you might never know. Take the risk because all that can happen is that it doesn't work out and you are no worse off than before. But, it could work out and it is worth taking the risk of finding out.

I think you should tell him how you feel and I bet he will feel the same way too. But I afraid one thing, he might be say no cuz he knows that he has cancer and he doesn't want to hurt you. If I were you, I will wait until he comes back and tell him. find a good time to tell him... I wish you all the best
