I think Helium should be more personal. I wish you were allowed to message people on it. I read this amazing short story that I loved, and I wish I could have messaged the writer and let him know! And I also wish you could have friends on helium too, like mylot!
Is there anyway I can give these suggestions to anyone that can make it happen?

Personal messaging is a feature that Helium is considering. In the mean time, you can tell what you want by opening a new thread on the discussion forum like
"Personal message to XYZ" and then tell what you want to say. I have seen people doing that on the thread.

I didn't know about the thread. But that doesn't really garunte they'll she it right? I don't know, not familar with it. But I am glad they are considering private messages! Thanks for letting me know! :) I hope they do it soon! lol

You are right in saying that they may or may not see it. But even if their friends happen to se it, they will inform him or her.

Yeah that's true. With all the users on helium there is a better chance he'd get the message. But...i don't know lol. I think I'd just prefer private messaging because I might not want everyone to see my message and stuff! :)

I haven't really explored the site thoroughly as I have been quite busy. But I think there are a couple of site admin in the forum and you could definitely let them know. I agree with you that it would be so much fun to have friends over there and could do private messaging on sharing thoughts. I think it would bring in more communication between the wrjavascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphMainContent$lbStart','')
post responseiters because not everyone enjoys going to the forum and private messaging is really convenient and direct. Wish you good luck there.

I think its difficult there because to make it possible the admin had to really work hard and really change all the codes which is a very difficult task but they can add small features slowly one by one.

I think private messaging on Helium would be nice, too, but only if it is a feature that each user can turn on and off selectively and if the buddy list allows members to block objectionable content. There should be a setting where you could choose to have only people on your buddy list allowed to contact you and so that you could take individuals off your buddy list if they did not turn out to be nice friends.

Also at helium you can look on their Me page and see if they have left any contact information. I know a lot of writters will leave an email or IM addy. Hope that helps :)

Yeah, this guy gave contact information, but he is an actor and it's really just for people who could hire him for something! lol. I'm not one of those people =P
And I would prefer to email them over the site and stuff, rather than sending stuff to their personal email! But thanks for the response! :) I appreciate it.
