Are you a classsical believer or a contemporary believer? You are a classical believer if you believe Jesus Christ is divine, and that he is the son of god that is sent to save our sins. Contemporary, if you believe Jesus is a human too and he as a iniator of renewal movement, in which he fought the romans, bu preaching. He comdemn their oppression, and wants Israel to be free from the bonds of their opressors like the romans and higher persons in his time.
For me, i am a contemporary believer. Why? I think of Jesus as a iniator of renewal movement, and his movement is the reason why he is condemned to death in means of crucifiction. The crucifiction in Jesus' time is the given thouse person who have done bad things like murder, and rebels. In this case, he would be a rebel because he wanted to free Israel from opression and have a society, where everything is equal.. In this time before,, alot of inequalities between the children, males, females, and the priest. All is divided... And i dont think of the bible as a historical book, because its inconsistent, try comparing the four gospels Mark, Matthew, John and Luke, in the ressusrection part, they are not the same. I believe in Jesus as a human and son of carpenter, not son of God..
I only believe in God, i dont have a picture in mind on how he looks like, i still believe in him. He is just here in our hearts.
how about you guys....are you a contemporary or classical believer?
