OK, my ex had asked if he could take our daughter camping over the weekend, I had asked Jessica how she felt and she made it clear she would like to go. Reuben told me that they would be home on Sunday around 12:00 noon. I had made it clear she needed to be home because she starts swimming lessons Mon at 8:00 am he again reassured me they would be home early I seen No problems with this Anyhow Jessica came home not at noon but at 11:00 pm at night, when her dad brought her to my door, he informed me she had an accident. Jessica opened her mouth and bang her front adult tooth is half gone. He said that he took her to the hospital out there and there was not much they could do for her expect to bring her back and get her tooth capped. I had asked Reuben had this happened in the 1st place and he said a little boy threw a life jacket which hit and broke the tooth. I am just thankful that Jessica is back home safe but nothing I would have image in a million years.

Wow, poor kid! I am glad she wasn't more seriously hurt. At the very least he could have called you! Courtesy doesn't seem to be a focus these days.

Calling me to let me know he was going to be a lot later would have really helped, He had my tummy in knots. He tends to not think of others and just expects me to sit back and not worry. Thanks so much for your Response Stacy

Sorry to hear about your daughter and her tooth. I think I would have went off on her daddy because he should have called you letting you know about the accident and letting you know they are running later then planned. Anyways, I hope the broken tooth isn't too bad. My son broke half of his off at school and exposed the nerves. We had to rush him to the dentists office and have it temporarily fixed and take him back another day to permenantly fix it. Now you can't even tell it was broke. If the nerves are exposed then she would be in some pain. It isn't good to being eating or drinking either with a tooth like that. Good luck and hope your daughter is ok! ;)

i'm sorry to hear about what happen to your daughter... your ex should have called you and let you know in advance that she had an accident instead of just keeping quiet about it until he sends your daughter back home... it is really terrible... i hope she is fine now... take care and God Bless you...

Things are not always happen according to what we have planned. I understand you have a worry about your husband taking your daughter out for a camp like that, and worrying about your husband being negligent and forgot his responsibility to take care of your daughter. But, if accidents were to happen, it would happen anywhere and anytime without you knowing it. What we could do is to just prepare ourselves with best knowledge and skills hoping that whenever something happens, we would be able to overcome it. I'm glad your daughter is safe. Have a nice day.

These things happen. Was she upset about it? Just be greatful that it wasn't anything worse. Things like this happen regardless of who the child is with~ that's why they call them accidents.

Hello! It was sad to hear about your daughter's teeth. But its happy to know that she isn't hurt. Also, its nice of your ex that he took her to the doctor. And yes, you can get her teeth fixed, I don't think there would be much problem in it because one of my friend broke her teeth half & it was fixed nicely...vani^_^

I agree, i'm glad she wasn't hurt more than she was. Seems to me that the parents of the little boy should be responsible for any hospital, dental bills. Also, accident or not I hope that the parents talked to him about NOT pulling stunts like that.

well, first of all, i'm glad she's not hurt much more than she was, although I can't imagine getting your adult tooth broken, is there any way to fix it? There must be, hopefully not too expensive? I'm sure it hurt terribly, hopefully you can get it fixed before she's too self-concious about it!

Well, it is good your daughter is ok, and the tooth can be fixed. I hope he will pay for this expense. He could have called, he sounds rude. One time my ex brought my son home from a hockey tournament, with the top of his head raw, hair missing. He was laughing, said my son dove into a pool and hit bottom with the top of his head. Found it amusing, the kid could have been paralyzed..that never occurred to him! Now we know some reasons why these guys ar both ex's
