Just wondering.....

Okay so it is early in the morning and I am bored. So I am sitting here on mylot and I was wondering. What is the total number of discussions that have been started since mylot began? I imagine it is quite a large number. Think about it! There is probably hundreds started everyday and mylot has been around from what I have gathered about a year now. So that makes for quite a few discussions started. Now I am not looking to find out the exact number. I am just sitting here trying to imagine the number because I am bored. Here on mylot we know how many members there are total, how many people are interested in the different topics, and how many people there are from different countries. But there is no where that states exactly how many discussions have been started since mylot began. Have you ever wondered this same question?

Well interesting. I guess probably the statistics are there but not displayed on myLot homepage, maybe to myLot administrators, what matters to people is seeing how many people are participating not how many discussions. If you've entered a site where you see there's 900000 ppl community you could get an idea how popular it is but if they say there's a million discussions or posts, it won't convey that message. You know what ? how many discussions are there, it may give you an idea how active myLot is, right ?
Example: Compare between a site (whatever that site is), that has 1000 ppl with 1000 posts and another site that has 100000 people with the same number of posts. Surely you'll conclude that site B is more active.

LOL! First of all it is not Mr. Speedy. It is Mrs. Speedy. Hence my avatar is a woman with children at her feet. But that is okay. Just found it a little funny. I see your point that it really isn't that important to know how many discussions have been started. I am just bored and started wondering for my own knowledge, how many discussions had been started since the beginning. So I figured I would share my curiosity and see if anyone else had ever wondered the same thing? But anyways thanks for your thoughts!
