Did the roles in dating change?

I just saw a young boy who said that the women must struggle for his attention every day, to flirt with him, to do their best to impress him, to be active or he will go with another one. Do the roles in the dating change? Are there too much men here who pretend to be in the female`s role and just to wait the girls arround to struggle and to impress them? How far must go the activity of one lady without to loose her feminity?

That young man needs to grow up and realise that life ain't like that. It sounds very arrogant of him to assume that the ladies all have to impress him, cheeky kid.

Alot of things like that do change with time. What might be ok in my time today will be different when my kids will start dating. So, I think that one is to be expected somehow.
