Okay lets be honest....what do you wear when your puttering around the house? Do you go all out and are dressed in a "civilized" manner...that is wear the same kind of clothes at home as you would when your out of your home....OR...are you a bit of a ...hehe..slob...or gasps...stay in the clothes for sleeping? When I'm home I just putter around in a large, over-sized t-shirt..Of course I keep a pair of jeans or shorts near my door so if my bell rings I can slip into them to look a little more presentable. So confession time...what do you wear when you're home?

I do not like to wear alot of cloths at all.I do not own any jeans at all. When I am at home I wear a very pretty lingerie dress. They go down to my knees.I even wear these outdoors.I wear thear night and day. They are very pretty and comfortable. It feels as though you have nothing on.I have even wore these tothe store and people have comented about how pretty they were and asked where I bought them at. I buy alot of my cloths in the lingerie departments.

Sounds like you're talking about housedresses? Or a sundress? Yes I've seen them and they are nice and comfortable to wear

I have been looking for some of those dresses this summer and I cannot find any. I have been to several stores. I must keep looking.

Well, the days of wearing my PJs all day are gone for now. Although, if I have the flu or an off the chart migraine, I will stay in my sleeping clothes. But if I am just sticking around the house, I'll put on a pair of sweats (no holes, LOL) and a baseball t-shirt. Because even if I am not going anywhere, I take the trash out every single day. And since I live in an apartment complex, I have to climb up the stairs to get to ground level, and then walk to the other side of the parking lot. And I'm not doing that unless I'm dressed. : )

I used to just stay in whatever I slept in (usually my hubby's t-shirts which are huge on me); but after having several people stop by unannounced on several different occasions I've now resorted to putting on jeans or shorts and a tank top after I get up. It just happened too many times where someone came over and I had to scramble to get dressed. Of course, now that I'm actually dressed no one ever comes by. *ROFL*

I know, I come from the thinking that people should give a courtesy call to announce that they are coming. I always call people before I go over to their homes and it just seems like it's the polite thing to do.

Oh how annoying when people just drop by whenever they feel like it..and isn't that typical? Now that you do get dressed expecting someone unannounced they don't show up

I would be roaming about in what you would call a nightdress...not a pyjama but something that would like a long maxi upto the ankles. I don't change if I am going to check the letter-box or taking my daughter to the swimming pool. Otherwise I have to change to a decent dress if I am going out elsewhere.

In the summer I wear old ratty oversized(because they are left from when I was bigger) jeans, a t-shirt and old worn running shoes that aren't good enough to run in anymore. In the winter it is the same except when it is cold I wear two flannel shirts. When I go out(even just to the grocery store) I wear better jeans that fit, better shoes and a shirt.

Well sometimes I will just stay in my PJs all day long.LOL But I dont do that too often. And I think I should.LOL The summer months I just wear a comfty pair of baggie shorts or pants and big shirt. If Im expecting someone then of course I will wear jeans and a nice shirt. But its fun to just be ourselves and comfty. Right?

I wear whatever to be comfortable. I am not out to win any fashion contests. If I go outside or out, I will just change into something a bit more presentable and easy going. I could wear jeans or jean shorts year round, and I wouldn't matter to me.

I'm not exactly a fashion plate around here at home either...If I was on someone's fashion list, I'd be catagorized as worse dressed of the year...

What to wear??? At home I wear sweat pants in winter and shorts in summer while in the house. I have some old sweatshirts and tee shirts that I wear, they used to belong to my better half who has gone on to a better place. I feel comfy in his old tops. When I go out, I get decent. I am a jeans and tee/sweatshirt girl so I put on my best clothing when I go out. At work I have to dress casual so I wear dress pants and mostly button down shirts. Take care...

Hi tsgirl01! Wow, good to know that you are wearing your other's half clothes. At least that way you get to remember him. Yeah, it's always nice to feel comfortable with the right clothes that we are wearing.

You got a lot of responses to this in a short time. It must be on the hot topic list! Anyway, I wear shorts and a t-shirt, no shoes, no make-up at home. If I am painting or doing hobby work, the clothes are old. Otherwise, I can wear what I have on if I need to go out. All I have to do is put on my shoes.

bum clothes,as i call them. the oversize shirt and comfortable, holey pants. well,hey..i figure if nobody's gonna see me,i'm gonna be comfortable. then there's yard pants. they get way dirty,..and i don't want to mess up my bum clothes.yard pants are one step from the garbage, basically.

In the cooler weather, I usually wear the same clothes home that I wore to work which would be t shirt and slacks. But in the summer I need to be a little cooler so the slacks get traded for shorts. If it is unbearably hot I verge on the indecent and wear just a sports bra with the shorts.

Oh,my...naughty girl...so you're indecent--LOL---I pretty much wear the same old big t-shirt all year round, just a different color one...in the winter we have so much heat on it almost feels like summer..and I have to keep the windows open then --its that hot

I usually wear a short, a t-shirt and a flip-flops at home. It is more comfortable and quite presentable when you have some visitors. Unfortunately the t-shirt are the old kinds and stained one so you need to changed a bit once in a while.

It is cool right now. I am wearing a sweatshirt and jeans and tennis shoes. I might weat a shirt and sweatpants or a t-shirt and shorts, all depending on the weather. Or in winter a sweater or a cardigan over a sweatshirt. I like casual wear at home but I do not want to look sloppy.

I replied to one of your discussions about global warming since you mentioned how cold it is where you are...I'd gladly switch places with you--LOL I wouldn't exactly say I look like a complete slob at home, but it's definitely not the attire I'd wear outdoors!

when i still live in the warm weathered philippines, i just wear shorts and sleeveless shirts when at home. but when a visitor comes along, i try to put on some pajamas. i don't like wearing shorts infront of other people other than my closest family members. but now that i am in sweden with my boyfriend, i still wear shorts and sleeveless blouses when the weather's a bit hot. but when it is too cold, i wear sweatshirts and pajamas inside the house... anne

Oh the woes of being a stay at home person, I am bad, I put on running shorts and a tank top every morning, mind you this is not presentable enough to wear to the grocery store, and god help anyway that comes to the house, but with everything that I do everyday in this house it is the most comfortable. But after I take a shower, which is not usually until 3ish that I will put on something presentable to everyone to see me, of course the mailman and the UPS guy have usually come and gone by then!

LOL - I'm a slob! Definately! At work I have to stick to the good old corporate image all the time - you know, smart business suit, high heels etc, so when I'm home I tend to wear as little and be as comfy as possible. I love big baggy T-shirts with nothing else too, - though i always keep a pair of leggings or tracksuit buttons handy in case anyone knocks on the door. And on Sundays I admit I often stay in my dressing gown and slippers all day.So you are not alone!!

Oh, my goodness..I think I've found my long lost sister here! No I don't exactly wear a business suit or heels when I'm out, but I do make myself presentable to the outside world--fix my hair nice, wear make-up the works, but at home it's anything goes...LOL

I'm a home body person I'll just go out to buy something on the market or on the store. I seldom go to other places just to hung out with friends. Thts why If I'm home I usually wore lousy dresses and since I'm a single mo I don't have a partner that I will flirt to make me look beautiful always hehehe. I just wear short or lousy long T-shirt, pajama sometimes I just replace when It's time for me to take a bath in the afternoon.

I work from home and noone really visits me in this town (since I don't really know anyone). I MAY stay in my pj's sometimes if I wake up late or just don't have any time to dress OR if I'd rather shower before putting on a new set of clothing, etc. I prefer to get dressed half-way decent, like you said, JUST in case someone rings the bell or if an airplane or fire (God forbid) ever happens to fall upon me. If I get dressed, I feel more productive period. If I lay around in my pj's or a t-shirt only I feel lazy and like a total BUM. Getting dressed is totally psychological- even when working from home.

My sleepwear is pretty much a variation of what I wear around the house, but when I get up I do change into my "house" clothes too--just to feel a bit different from what I wear in bed
