Did you watch Wimbledon?

Do we have any tennis fans here? I watched bits and pieces of it and tried to catch the specials update following my local news. I watched most of the Federer/Nadal match. How about that Venus. She was seted 23rd and pulled it off. Wow.
I love tennis and used to play competitively myself. Any other tennis players?

Oh yes - tennis is my first love and main hobby. I went to Wimbledon a few times as I live in London, and I also go to the French Open in Paris and many other tournaments. I used to play a lot when I was younger - but not so much now, I prefer to watch. The Federer/Nadal match was one of the best finals Wimbledon has seen in years - it was excellent quality, and I'm so glad Roger won it. I wasn't so pleased with the womens' result - I would have liked the little French girl to win it - or at least put up a better fight in the final, - but she was too nervous and inexperienced, and the occasion overawed her.

I really like tennis but was never any good at it even though I enjoyed it - now I have no chance of playing now! I didn't watch much this year - the joy went out when Murray couldn't play - he is an amazing young player and he is from my ares! My partner watched as much as he could get a chance to!

I watch it once in awhile but I am not that hooked yet, I guess. But, I think they play beautifully.
