I'm going to a big Harry Potter party at LUSH in Philly on Friday and I have no clue about what to wear:( I have a scarf that's in the exact pattern as in the movie, but what else should I wear with it? Nothing wild, I'm not usually into playing dress up!lol! Thanks in advance:)

That sounds really fun. My city will actually be doing a big Potter party next Friday for the book release. I haven't decided what I am going to wear since it's super hot here...that makes wearing my scarf a little difficult. How about going as a Hogwarts student? You could wear a school uniform type outfit and use your scarf. Do you have a black graduation robe? You could make that your wizarding robe. You could also make yourself a wand to carry around. Another idea is going as a wizard dressed as a muggle. That's fun because then you can dress all crazy and mis-matched. You could still carry a wand for that. Have fun. That party sounds like a blast. Lush and Harry Potter. Yay!

OMGoodness, that's a great idea going as a wizzard dressed as a muggle! I can wear a long hippie skirt with mismatched socks and birkies with an odd shirt and the scarf. That could work! Have you ever been to a lush party before? If so, are they lots of fun?

Actually I have been to a Lush party before. It was pretty fun. I think this one will be even more fun because of the HP theme. At the party I went to there were snacks, and you could play with all the products. It was a grand opening of a new store, so it was pretty packed. The goodie bag I got was pretty good too. There were samples of soap, a jelly and even a temple balm!

I love the idea of a wizard dressed as a muggle. I'm in process of re-reading the books before Deathly Hallows comes out and so I recently read the stuff at the Quidditch World Cup with all of the strange combinations of muggle clothes those wizards came up with. I love the old man who wears a woman's nightgown because he likes a healthy breeze around his privates... I'll be going to the midnight party at the bookstore to get my book next week, but I'll probably just wear regular clothes and a wizard hat my husband and I bought at Mardi Gras several years ago.

Well, maybe you should try dressing up completely one time? Its pretty cool to be honest. I would suggest a long cloak - maybe with the house badge on or something if you want to keep it bland, but from personal point of view - get the uniform or something alike, if you have the money -- Why go the whole way? Good luck and i hope you enjoy the party! :)
