This phone is a linux-based smartphone with touch-screen capabilities , bluetooth, wi-fi, and removable media.
The purpose of this phone is to have open-source software rather than commercial applications on a device. Instead of AT&T, you have your choice of GSM carrier (T-mobile).
The benefits:
1. Open source Linux
2. Customizable phone
3. GPS
The downsides:
1. Currently being developed. (Developer kit costs $300, you can get a semi-functional Neo1973)
2. Currently beyond the technical ability of the average user.
Is the Neo1973 an iPhone Killer? Soon, very soon.
